The Objective: To obtain the most amount of Plural Wives, children, and property in order to receive salvation and have the rue over your own planet in the kingdom of heaven.
Plural marriage, is the Mormon brand of polygamy. In the 19th century the Principle was taught by leaders of (LDS Church) for more than half of the 19th century. In 1890 a manifesto terminating the practice was introduced to the Church. They decided that having option to super-size a coke and watch UFC bouts on pay-per-view collaborated well with the Mormon scripture.
Some Mormons felt that the practice of polygamy was essential to achieving salvation and in turn form the FDL Church. The FDLS resides in various splinter groups throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This board game in the story of one community of FDLS residing in Colorado City, Arizona and its sister city, Hildale, Utah.
There are 22 proprieties on the board. Eighteen properties are streets that are part of neighborhoods 2 or 3 streets long. As the player rolls the dice they are able to travel around the board. Players are given their government welfare checks broken down into cash before play begins. Cash is used to purchase any property built on the street. Once a player acquires a complete neighborhood, building churches can then begin. A player must purchase a church (green) first, once 3 churches are built on each street in the neighborhood they are able to trade in the churches for and purchase a compound (red).
Additional Property you can buy includes 4 important stops along the Mormon Trail. The original 1846-1847 Mormon Trail went from Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois through Iowa to Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska, up through Wyoming (Fort Laramie) ending in Salt Lake, becoming Salt Lake City, Utah. The length of the wagon trail from Nauvoo to Salt Lake City was about 1,300 mile. Giving the Mormons lots of road time to make up more shit to add in their bible.
Later the Mormon Trail coincided with other trails such as The Oregon Trail. Ultimately, everyone got sick of the Mormons, leaving them to make do with the Great Salt Lake Desert.
